Alan Brown
Alan’s career in marketing began client-side at Procter & Gamble, followed by Pepsi-Cola where he gained an appreciation not only for the value of solid strategy, but for the insane level of responsibility clients shoulder. As our Founder and Chair, this empathy is something Alan brings to work every day, which might explain why DNA’s client tenure currently averages 10 years.
In addition to serving as executive sponsor for some of our largest clients, Alan leads DNA’s board and the company’s long term vision and strategic growth initiatives, including enhancement of our capabilities, geographic expansion and growing our national brand.
Alan has been a long-time advocate in DEI, serving as an inaugural member of CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion. In 2017, Alan received the Puget Sound Journal’s Outstanding Voice recognition for his leadership on LGBTQ+ issues in the business community. Alan was named to the 2022 Campaign US 40 over 40 and was also named the Silver Medal Winner by the American Advertising Federation in 2023 for his outstanding contributions to advertising. Outside of work, Alan enjoys serving on the board of StolenYouth, an organization working to end child sex trafficking in Washington state.
