TABLEAU
Turning A Remote Conference Into A Smash Hit
Industry:
Technology
The Lowdown
With Covid forcing most live events to go virtual, Tableau Software wanted to make sure that Tableau Conference–their annual three day gathering for the global data community–didn’t feel like a three day Zoom meeting. So we ditched the corporate conference playbook and treated it more like three days of entertainment, featuring a data-inspired musical theme. We wrote the lyrics and music, cast a genre-bending band, produced epic music video content and much more. Everything from keynote openers to promotional interstitials was put to song, giving our remote audience a reason to get up out of their WFH chairs and rock out in celebration of their love of data.
We kicked off each day’s theme with an epic musical performance.
We busted right out of the Zoom screen on day 1.
The first ever hair metal music video about data.
And finally, a funkadelic love letter to the data family.
A groovy graphics package tied the event together.
Every bit of event content was designed to keep remote attendees entertained.
IMPACT
We redefined how hybrid conferences are done, and the CSAT scores (0-5) show it: 3.9 overall
We don’t fuck around. And when we do, we don’t fuck around.
