When most people think of Black Friday, all they see is savings. But we saw a big opportunity to bolster Seattle’s Black-owned businesses. That’s why we created #BlackBlackFriday — a community-wide movement that helps shoppers save while pouring full proceeds back into Black-owned businesses.

Project: Sugar Free

There’s nothing sweet about “sugaring.” That’s why we used the power of AI to launch a platform, in partnership with Stolen Youth, that intercepts predatory social media posts in an effort to deter would-be sex offenders from preying on underage youth.

Project Violet

LGBTQ+ people are woefully underrepresented in the advertising industry – either because they are not asked to self-identify, or because they are not comfortable being out at work. Recognizing this problem, and inspired to make a difference, DNA created Project Violet – a network that connects agency Mentor leaders with LGBTQ+ Mentees to build the support and workplaces that elevate queer perspectives as a career and business advantage. Launched in 2023, Project Violet has facilitated more than 125 Mentor/Mentee relationships across the US. Project Violet partners with Do The Werq, a national organization working to increase queer creativity and representation in the marketing industry and Outvertising, a UK based organization with a mission to make marketing and advertising completely LGBTQ+ inclusive.

Our President Chris Witherspoon sits on the board of directors for 600 & Rising, a Black advocacy group promoting equity in the agency world. As a supporter of this initiative, DNA has committed to transparency in our diversity and inclusion practices, holding ourselves accountable by making our D&I data public.

BLAC is a national internship program committed to bringing more young Black people into the advertising industry. As contributors to this group of independent agencies, DNA is part of a collective seeking to recruit and train a new generation of Black talent.

In loving memory of our co-founder and dear friend, Ginny Meisenbach, StolenYouth has established the Ginny Meisenbach Survivor Support Fund, to carry on Ginny’s vision of supporting individual survivors through small but important grants.

Come Out To Work

Started by our Co-Founder, Alan Brown, Come Out to Work raises awareness and encourages leaders to create work cultures where LGBTQ+ talent feel comfortable being out in the workplace. By sharing coming out at work stories on social media and launching a commitment to mentor LGBTQ+ talent, the initiative makes advertising more welcoming and attractive to LGBTQ+ workers.
