Which Lane Will You Occupy?
DNA’s belief has always been to bring people together by creating meaningful connections. And in times like this – where there’s a need to have a dialogue around social injustice and systemic racism in our country – it’s a point of view that’s needed more than ever.
Like most people, we know there’s no simple answer. But we also know silence or inaction will not keep the conversation going about George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the many other victims. Instead, we plan to use our voices to share ideas, content, resources, and tools that shine a light and educate people on the issue of racism in our country. It’s one small gesture, but we hope many small acts can lead to big things.
The poet, Lindsay Young, may have said it best:
Resistance is NOT a one-lane highway. Maybe your lane is protesting, maybe your lane is organizing, maybe your lane is counseling, maybe your lane is art activism, maybe your lane is surviving the day.
Do NOT feel guilty for not occupying every lane. We need all of them.
